Interim Curriculum 2024/2025

At Kingsholm, we are currently in the process of developing our wider curriculum to ensure it fully aligns with our school vision. We recognise that creating a curriculum that is right for our children takes time, so we are taking a systematic approach to its development.

Our goal is to refine our curriculum to make deliberate connections between subjects, while embedding our key drivers of outdoor learning and digital strategy. To allow us the space and time to make these important changes, we have streamlined our wider curriculum for this academic year, ensuring that all subjects are still taught, but with a focus on key drivers and newly established subject pathways.

We’ve begun the development of our curriculum with the Art pathway in the Autumn Term. In the Spring Term, we will focus on developing the History pathway, and in the Summer Term, we will work on the Geography, Computing, and Science pathways. This phased approach allows us to make thoughtful progress without rushing, ensuring each subject area is given the attention it deserves.

Please see the slideshow below to see how our newly established Art pathway aligns with our school vision and curriclum drivers:

We acknowledge that curriculum development is a continuous process and, while we are making significant strides this year, there will be further refinement in the 2025-2026 academic year to complete the full scope of our wider curriculum.
