Attendance News

Whole school overall attendance is 92.3%, which is below the national expectation of 97%.

Please remember to contact the office EVERY DAY that your child is absent by calling: 01452 530777 or email: attendance@kingsholm.gloucs.sch.uk

Managing appointments reminder:

Parents/carers are asked to not make medical or dental appointments during school time if possible. Medical appointments taken in school time affect attendance figures for individual pupils as well class groups and the school as a whole. If the appointment is in school time please do not take a whole morning, afternoon or day off.

Latest News

  • Year 6 and Reception - Height / Weight and (Vision - Reception only) Screening will take place on Monday 6,7,8th February. This has been communicated via a letter and SchoolPing as well as reminders.
  • Kingsholm Star Assembly - The next Kingsholm Star Assembly for term 3 will be on the first Monday back after half term - Monday 22nd February.
  • After School Clubs -  These will resume the week beginning the 19th February.
  • Young Voices Concert for Parents / Carers - If your child is taking part in the Young Voices After School Club concert on Monday 26th February you are very welcome to come along and watch at 3.30. There will be refreshments available.  
  • Reminder - School Office Hours - The school office opening times are 8am -4pm.  Parents / Carers, please remain outside the white doors prior to dropping the children at Breakfast Club which is open from 7:45 - 8:15.
  • School Food Bank Donation Requests We have our own foodbank here in school and can respond quickly to those most in need. We are always grateful for any of the  following items : tea and coffee, biscuits, tinned fruit, tinned custard, tinned rice pudding, shampoo, washing powder, jars of pasta sauce and rice, tinned veg. Thank you in advance, any donation is really appreciated.
  • Help With School Trips. We recently sent out a SchoolPing to everyone requesting the help of volunteers who may be available to come and help on school trips. We have lots of different trips with all year groups during the academic year, and any extra adult help is always appreciated. Please get in touch with the school office if you are able to help.
  • Next newsletter - The next edition of the newsletter will be available on Friday 26 February.

Any Other Business

Join Us For An Internet Safety Presentation.  -Thursday 8th February in the Oak Hall 3.30- 4:30pm

We are inviting ALL parents / carers to join us as. An external facilitator will present a live online safety presentation in school, which will help you help your children to keep themselves safe online.  

The digital world changes constantly and rapidly. It is really important to understand the risks this presents to your children.

We would love to see everyone and refreshments will be available. Staff will run an activity for your child / children whilst you are attending the session.
