Attendance News
Our whole school overall attendance is 92.2%, sadly below the national and our targeted expectation of 97%. We understand that there are many nasty bugs going around at this time of year, but we will continue to challenge the reasons for poor attendance.

Latest News
- After School Clubs and School Council Meetings - The After School Clubs will now start the week of Monday 29th January with School Council Meetings resuming on Tuesday 30th January at 8:15am.
- Reminder - Breakfast Club Increase in Price - Please be aware that from 8th January the cost of Breakfast Club has increased. Costs are kept as low as feasibly possible but this increase is unavoidable. The new rate is £3.50
- Reminder - School Office Hours - The school office opening times are 8am -4pm. Parents / Carers, please remain outside the white doors prior to dropping the children at Breakfast Club which is open from 7:45 - 8:15.
- School Food Bank Donation Requests - We have our own foodbank here in school and can respond quickly to those most in need, however our stocks are running low. Are you able to help? If so, we would be grateful for any of the following items : tea and coffee, biscuits, tinned fruit, tinned custard, tinned rice pudding, shampoo, washing powder, jars of pasta sauce and rice, tinned veg. Thank you in advance, any donation is really appreciated.
- Help With School Trips. A SchoolPing was sent out to everyone before half term with a link to a Google form requesting any volunteers who may be available to come and help on school trips. We have lots of different trips with all year groups during the academic year, and any extra adult help is always appreciated. Do get in touch!.
- New Behaviour Policy - We will be holding two information sessions for parents / carers about our new behaviour policy, One at 9am and the other at 4pm - dates to be confirmed.
- Next newsletter - The next edition of the newsletter will be available on Friday 2 February.
Any Other Business
Parent / Carer Channels Of Communication When Raising Concerns/Complaints:
- First port of call should be your child’s class teacher. Please ensure you allow sufficient time for staff to respond to your queries/concerns. Parents should not expect staff to acknowledge or respond to queries/concerns either at weekends or after school hours.
- If your concern needs further escalation, you must raise this with your Year Group Leader before escalating to the Headteacher or Senior Leadership team. Year Group Leaders are part of the leadership team and hold responsibility and oversight for pupils within their year group.
Blue, Red and Yellow Classes Plea For Help
We are always looking for resources to develop and enhance our areas within Blue, Red and Yellow classes. If anyone has any of the following that they no longer require, we would love to make use of them:
We are looking for:
- Jigsaws and simple games
- Buckets and spades and other sand pit toys
- Metal saucepans, spoons, plastic jugs and bowls
- Role play resources, including doctors / shop/ home (dolls, prams, shopping baskets, tills etc.)
- Construction toys
*** We are also in need of clean pants, socks and tights. Age 4-6 ***
If you have anything that you can donate, please bring it to the school office.

OPAL (Outdoor Play And Learning) - Trash to Treasure
If you find you're getting rid of any of the items in the list below, we would love them to make our lunchtime play provision even more exciting. Please bring the items to the office or to 2B's classroom and I will take them off your hands.
Sand Toys - buckets, spades, sifters, funnels or moulds.
Play Cars
Gardening Tools - spades, forks and buckets.
Playing Sand - we would like to fill our sandpit as the sand has lowered over the years.
Wooden Palettes - in good condition please.
Cable drums - any size welcome.
Logs - flat on the bottom and top to use as seats.
Planks - any size.
Gutter Pipes
Please do not send in anything that is broken or damaged.

Kingsholm DIY SoS
We are planning a very special Kingsholm DIY SOS on Saturday 16th March to make our school environment look amazing!
