Attendance News 

Whole school overall attendance is 94.3 %, which is below our school target of 95%.

Reception –  97.6%

Year 1 –  95.1%

Year 2 – 96.1%

Year 3 – 97.1 %

Year 4 – 94.8 %

Year 5 – 93.9%

Year 6 – 87.2%

Reminder that pupils should be in school by 8.50am. All children who are late need to be brought into school by a parent/carer to sign them in using a late slip with a reason for lateness. If you know they will be late due to an appointment, please ring to pre-order lunch if they have a hot lunch at school.

Latest News

  • Thank you - Thank you to all the parents / carers who attended this weeks Welcome Meetings. For those unable to attend the power points from each phase ( Year 1/2, Year 3/4, Year 5/6) will be on the website - Children Zone, Year Group Information pages.
  • Photographs - All photographs taken throughout the academic school year ( school trips and activities) will also be added to the Website - Children Zone, Year Group Information pages as well as ClassDojo.
  • Volunteers - We are so grateful to parents / carers who volunteered last year to help with trips and activities. Please contact the school office if you are able to help this year.
  • PTFA - We are looking for parents / carers to help with the planned activites this year.  Please do get in touch with the office if you are interested. Without your help these events will not go ahead.
  • Key Dates - We have put together key dates for the first three terms of this academic year and these will be coming out next week.
  • Harvest Festival - This year the Harvest Festival will be held at St Catharine's Church on Friday 18th October. We will be having two services: Southgate and Northgate in the morning and Eastgate and Westgate in the afternoon. Parents/ carers are warmly invited to attend. Timings to be confirmed. Please could all donations to the foodbank come in on Wednesday the 16th October. Thank you all for your support.
  • Baby Updates - We are delighted to share that Mr Cory, Mrs Mountain, Miss Hooper and Mrs Gunn have all had their babies this summer. Many congratulations to them all.
  • Children's Medical / Dental Appointments -  Please inform the school office if you need to collect your child for an appointment and where possible we will have them brought over to the office in time for you to pick them up.
  • Reminder School Lunch Price Increase - From September school lunch prices will increase to £2.42.
  • Contact Details   As part of our ongoing attempt to ensure communication between home and school remains clear and consistent please ensure that we have your correct, up to date details. If you have moved house since your child started at school, your family situation has changed,  your email / mobile or landline telephone / work numbers have changed, please notify the school office and we can update your child / children's records. We do need at least two contact details for every child.
  • School Office Hours -  The school office opening times are 8am -4pm.  Parents / Carers, please remain outside the white doors prior to dropping the children at Breakfast Club which is open from 7:45 - 8:15.

  • Term 2: Mon 4th Nov 2023 – Friday 20th Dec 2024 On the last day of term school ends at 1:15pm
  • Term 3: 6th January 2025 – Friday 14th February 2025 On the last day of term school ends at 3:15pm /3:20pm
  • Term 4: Mon 24th Feb 2025– Friday 11th April 2025 On the last day of term school ends at 1:15pm
  • Term 5: Mon 28th April 2025 – Friday 23rd May 2025 On the last day of term school ends at 3:15pm /3:20pm
  • Term 6: Mon 2nd June 2025 – Mon 21st July 2025 On the last day of term school ends at 1:15pm
