•  Zero Tolerance of Aggressive or Abusive Behaviour Towards Our Staff  

We have seen an unacceptable increase in aggressive and abusive behaviours towards our staff. 

We understand that people can become angry when they feel that matters about which they feel strongly are not being dealt with as they wish. If that anger escalates into aggression towards our staff, we consider that unacceptable, and it will not be tolerated. 

Aggressive or abusive behaviour includes language (whether verbal or written) that may cause staff to feel afraid, threatened or abused and may include threats, personal verbal abuse, derogatory remarks and rudeness. The use of swear words or swear signs in written or verbal communication will not be tolerated and these communications will not be responded to. Directly swearing at members of staff will also not be tolerated. In addition we consider inflammatory statements, remarks of a racial or discriminatory nature and unsubstantiated allegations, to be abusive behaviour.

• Thrive Programme

Through the use of the Thrive approach we are supporting all children in school to acquire the understanding skills and personal relationships required to develop and sustain healthy social and emotional wellbeing. We believe this is paramount in giving children the best chance of positive outcomes throughout their primary school career and beyond, enabling them to reach their goals and shine. We are training a Thrive practitioner per year group, and two additional practitioners in the Inclusion Team. We have also had a whole staff training on Thrive and are adopting their principle throughout our practice. 

• PARENT / CARER Catch Up 14th March 9am or 4pm

 All parents/carers are very welcome to join us for a cup of coffee or tea and a biscuit and a catch up about school life.

• Non Uniform Day - 15th March

 Our next fundraising event is next Friday when we invite the child to wear their own clothes to school. Donations can be made via Parentpay and all money raised will be given to Gloucester City Mission. Homeless | Gloucester City Mission | Gloucestershire (gloscitymission.org.uk)

• Up to Date Contact Details

  A reminder to all parents / carers to update the school office of any changes to your contact details e.g house move, new mobile or work place number and any changes to a child's medical or dietary needs.

• Easter Services at St Catharine's Church 

19th March - All the children will be walking to Church for either the morning serivce or afternoon service depening on which house they are in. We have unfortunately cancelled the Y4 Family share which was scheduled for the 20th March, however the Y4 children will take an active part in the services. Parents and Carers are invited to come along and watch, more details to follow. If you are able to help walk the children from school to church please let the office know. Thank you to those who have volunteered already.

• Last Week of Clubs -  A reminder that next week is the last week of clubs.  School Council has now finished for this term.

• Reminder - School Office Hours 

 The school office opening times are 8am -4pm.  Parents / Carers, please remain outside the white doors prior to dropping the children at Breakfast Club which is open from 7:45 - 8:15.
