We have all really enjoyed this week's sunshine, and all the World Book Day activities. We were delighted to see so many of you at our Book Sale yesterday and hope that the children are already enjoying the stories.

The EYFS visit to a Library was a huge success and the children did us proud. Thank you to all parents who help to facilitate trips as they wouldn’t be able to happen without you. 

We are currently focusing on being our best in school as part of the 3 B’s, but we are also discussing British Values during worship. This week we have focused on democracy and what it means to us. It would be lovely if you could continue these discussions at home.

We all hope you have a good weekend and that the weather lasts!

Acting Headteacher Inclusion and Early Intervention

The DfE issue schools with guidelines for dealing with requests for holidays during term time. We ask our families to respect the fact that these guidelines are adhered to at our school. Holidays during term time cannot be authorised except where it is believed there are exceptional circumstances.

Taking unauthorised holidays in term time can lead to penalty fines being issued by the Local Authority. Please avoid this! Please do not take planned time off during the school term time.

Please think twice. Help your school. A holiday is nice, but follow the rule. Pupils must come to school.

Each Friday the class with the highest attendance in KS1 and in KS2 are recognised in assembly. KS1 receives a class certificate and the “attendance pup” spends a week in the classroom. KS2 receive a class certificate and a trophy for the week.

KS1 Yellow class with 97%

KS2 3F with 96.4%

KS1 Red Class with 99.2%

KS2 5B with 99.7%
