Dear Parents / Carers 

We have finally reached the end of 2025/26 academic year and what a year it has been!

For me, personally, my journey began (what seems like ages ago) in January. And what a fantastic start to my time at Kingsholm I have had. The welcome that I have received from staff, governors, parents and children has been phenomenal. This school truly is a special place and I feel very privileged to be its Head Teacher. Next year will be my first full year and I am so excited about how we can all work together to take the school forward.

Highlights for me have included:

The launch of our new school vision and the Everyone Matters song which the children sing beautifully. It always makes you feel great when you hear it.

The SIAMs visit which really did celebrate what makes our school special - the focus on the whole child and their spiritual development.

The Kingsholm picnic - I particularly liked trying the home-made goods - but to see the community come together in such a fantastic way was amazing.

Our Y6 leavers party - bouncy castles, pizza and a disco dome! What more could you need! (And the after party with the staff was fun too!)

Thank you all, for an incredible first two terms!

And finally...

Today we say goodbye to our current Y6. An amazing group of unique individuals that have a vast array of talents. They have the potential to be and do whatever they aspire to, and I truly hope that they continue to model the 3Bs and achieve all that they hope to in the future. 

They will be sorely missed, and I know that each and every one of us wishes them well as they take the big step into Y7.

And last but not least...

To Mr Edwards. He has been a long standing vital cog in the Kingsholm machine over the past 13 years and it is now his time to take his talents and experience to new pastures. St Marks is a very lucky place and will really benefit from his kind and caring nature; his incredible work ethic and his passion for making sure children are at the heart of every decision.

We all wish him good luck and would like to thank him for all that he has done throughout the years supporting staff, pupils and parents.

Hello dear Forest School families and friends,

Our final sessions for the term  have been filled with recalling happy memories of all the experiences and "best things" that we have done over the whole year.  So much learning in so many different ways. This week we have kept cool with water and toasted celebratory marshmallows on the fire (with vegan versions for those who needed them).  Between water and fire there has still been the obligatory minibeast investigation, den building, climbing and working on balance on the slack line.  A lovely last week of fun and a final goodbye to Forest School for the summer.

Hello Everyone, 

It is the last week of school and our last ever newsletter from us.

On Monday the Year 6s had a lovely Leaver's Service at St Catharine's Church.

On Wednesday Year 6s had a fantastic End of School Leaver's party where we had fun on inflatables, giant party games, pizza and candy floss - ( Thank you to Mr and Mrs Deakin who supplied 90 bags! ( yum yum).

Children throughout the school have enjoyed their dojo awards which have included, extra play time, a film and popcorn, a bag of sweets, time on the bouncy castles etc.

We are sad that we are leaving primary school however we are looking forward to moving to our new schools in September.

We will miss everyone and we hope you have a great Summer holiday.

As we come to the end of another academic year, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped and contributed to our events throughout the year. Your support has made a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful.

We are always looking for new volunteers and would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved with the PTFA. Whether you can help with just one event or would like to become more involved throughout the year, every contribution is valued and appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our final Non School Uniform.

We raised £ 292.55 which is a wonderful amount.

Well done to all the children who were awarded the Kingsholm Star for Term 6.

The children certainly enjoyed their afternoon tea as you can see from the photos. :)

We’re delighted to share that the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is returning this summer, offering a wide range of fun activities and nutritious meals for children and families from 22 July to 1 September.

HAF is available for children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals. If families are unsure about eligibility, they can contact the team at freeschoolmeals@gloucestershire.gov.uk  for friendly advice and guidance.

A soft launch opens on 22 June, allowing families to browse activities and start planning ahead.  Bookings go live at midday on 6 July

•  Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)

If you need have already registered please check that you are to update with your profiles ahead of booking as this will make a real difference. Please remember to

• Add an individual profile for each child
• Complete emergency contact details
• Include any additional needs or disability information to help providers offer the right support
• Check contact details are up to date

Having complete and up-to-date profiles helps ensure:

• Faster and smoother bookings
• Tailored support for children and young people
• A positive and inclusive experience at sessions

Also, keep an eye out for our HAF Pop Up Activity Days in parks and open spaces across the City, these are open to all children, young people and their families with no booking required.

Together, we can help ensure that families across Gloucester are able to access a safe, supportive and enjoyable programme this summer.

• Cool Kids, Buffer and Breakfast Club - These provisions MUST be booked in advance using the link which is sent out weekly via SchoolPing.  ALL sessions need to be paid for in advance unless you pay monthly and already have this payment agreement set up and in place. If there is any outstanding debt, places will be refused until the account is cleared.
