Safeguarding

At Kingsholm C of E Primary School, the health, safety and wellbeing of every child is our top priority. We expect all staff, governors, volunteers, contractors and visitors to share this commitment to safeguarding our pupils.

We are committed to supporting families and providing early help as soon as a need arises. We aim to prevent issues and problems becoming serious and harmful to a child, their family and community.

We listen to our pupils and take seriously what they tell us. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare and safety. We are an Operation Encompass School please see more information about this below.

All our staff are trained in child protection, receive regular updates and refresher training. Our safeguarding leads have advanced practitioner qualifications.
