Parent Teacher Friends Association (PTFA) of Kingsholm C of E Primary School and Nursery
About Us
The Parent Teacher Friends Association at Kingsholm are a group of volunteers who organise social, fundraising events for the children and their families.
We have organised summer fetes, rainbow raffles, discos, movie nights, hot chocolate and cookie sale, Festive Friday and more! All money raised goes back into the school to benefit all the children.
The money we have raise continues to provide valuable resources and equipment to improve the enrichment of the students. More importantly, it’s a great way to bring our school community together. Whether you are new to the school or not, we would love for you to get involved-every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

As a parent at Kingsholm, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact our staff and PTFA has on enriching our children’s school experience. I later joined the PTFA because I wanted to actively contribute to the school community by supporting students and teachers and helping to create an environment where the children can thrive. I became chair last year and thoroughly enjoy this fulfilling role. I have made lots of new friends through the PTFA and we welcome you all.

From the day my daughter started at Kingsholm in reception I was blown away by the amount of time and effort that goes into not only the children and their education but the wider community and the enrichment of the whole “family” of anyone who may have a link to Kingsholm School. After seeing this and feeling so grateful for the work that was being put in, I felt it was the least I could do to volunteer my time and give back something as a thank you, knowing it would be very much appreciated! My daughter is now at secondary school but I still love lending a hand, seeing the familiar faces of the wonderful teachers, the wider staff and most of all carrying on the much needed work of fund raising to enable the children to thrive and be the best they can be!
How to Get Involved
There are several ways you can get involved with the PTFA and help to support Kingsholm School.
Come along to one of our fundraising social events. They are a great way to meet other parents, make friends and strengthen the community around Kingsholm.
Volunteer your help. We always need a rotation of volunteers to set up food and drink stalls at school events. During the biggest events such as summer fete or Festive Friday, we need as many hands as possible for planning and running stalls, selling raffle tickets, organising promotions and prizes, and dozens of other roles. Please let us know if you have any specific skills or connections that might be put to good use.
Come along to the PTFA meetings - see below for dates. Often a senior member of staff will join us to discuss fundraising plans. All parents, carers, grandparents are welcome.

Meeting dates
Meetings will either be at 9am - 10am in school OR 6:00pm - 7:00pm at the Farmers Club Gloucester - Agriculture House, Greville Cl, Sandhurst Rd, Gloucester GL2 9RG.
The same information will be at both meetings so parents would only need to come to one or the other. The meeting dates are:
