You may have seen local media coverage relating to a measles outbreak in the county which is affecting around 25 children.
Measles can be a serious condition, particularly for people whose immune system is not working normally. The best way to prevent measles is by getting the MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) vaccination.
Public Health England have written to schools with advice on what to look out for and what action to take if a pupil takes ill with measles. Please see the attached letter for further details.
